General Abbey Updates
New Monastery Site
This is the site, at the rear of the Abbey property, where the Monks plan to build a new monastery. In early June the large white house that once stood here was removed. The Monks ask for your prayers as they undertake this project.
Holy and Peaceful: Abbey Cemetary gets a new look
The Monks are grateful to all who gave so willingly to complete work on the Monastic Cemetery fence and gate. Some finishing touches and landscaping remain to be done.
Adoration Chapel: Daily: 5:00a.m - Midnight
All are invited to share in the graces received from spending time before the Blessed Sacrament. The chapel is located at the east end of the Abbey. Volunteers committing to an hour of adoration assure that Our Lord is never alone.

Abbey Oblates:
Meetings: First Sunday each month, Sept.- May. 3.00 - 4:00 pm in the chapter room.
Oblates are lay men and women who strive to incorporate Benedictine spirituality into their everyday life.

Shroud of Turin Center:
The Center was established to promote an increase in awareness and understanding of the Shroud of Turin and conduct research into it's origins. The Center holds periodic multimedia presentations about the Shroud which feature the Center's full-sized black and white negative and color positive images of the shroud.

Food Basket:
The Abbey collects canned goods donations on behalf of Goochland County Fellowship and Family Services for distribution to needy families in the area. Please be sure the item has not passed its expiration date, and place donations in the basket located in the Lobby of the abbey. Your generosity is appreciated.
Divine Mercy:
Vigil Lights: Envelopes are now available at the guest desk for those who would like to have a candle lit for a special intention.

Retreat/Conference Center:
Available for groups or for individual retreats. For more information, contact Br. Jeffery Williams, OSB at ext. 125 .

Monastic Live-in Experience:
Men from 18-45 years are invited to spend an extended weekend at the monastery to discern a vocation to the monastic life, joining the monks at prayer, work, recreation and meals in the monastic refectory. There is an opportunity to speak with the monks and ask questions about their life.
