Is God Calling You
Several times each year the Brothers of Mary Mother of the Church Abbey invite young men, at least 21 years of age, who feel God may be calling them to a Benedictine Monastic Vocation to spend three days living among, and sharing the lives of the Richmond Monks. For information, please

FASTING
Fasting is the reduction of one’s intake of food. The Catholic Church believes that all people are obliged by God to perform some penance for their sins, and that these acts of penance are both personal and corporate.
Church requirements on fasting only relate to solid food, not to drink, so any amount of water or other beverages may be consumed.
